EDDIE WALKER’S CONCERT, CLUB AND FESTIVAL DATES This is my latest gig update on April 14th ........and a little fresh news too.....so greetings to all reading here. I often find it hard to keep on top of things here on this website.... regular visitors know that........ but my other site is www.myspace.com/eddiewalker ....that gets updated far more regularly ....there are blogs to read there and there are three music tracks to hear as well. And some different pix from those in this gallery .....lots of which feature myself and Fraser Speirs when we played a concert at the Heart of Hawick, Tower Mill in February 2009. Fraser and I did a 15 date tour last year before he left to play in Paolo Nutini’s band for the rest of the year. A great success for him being on so many big festivals at IOW, Glastonbury, T in the Park and the V Fest and appearances on Jonathan Ross, Jools Holland and an exceptionally strong showing on the Graham Norton Show with his storming harmonica solo on Pencil Full of Lead!! Now he’s finished with that outfit we can think of getting more of our shows out there. Beyond The Blues is a festival and concert show.....but we’ve taken it to some of the bigger clubs too. You’ll see also that dates with Fraser are starting to go in….right now Stirling is the first at the beginning of November but there are more for 2011 already confirmed and listed. ......I’ve been asked if I will be in Scotland in July and August involved with tutoring guitar at the Living Tradition Summer Schools and the Common Ground Scotland event. www.livingtradition.co.uk I’ve been involved in these events now for 5-6 years and enjoyable and worthwhile as they have been I’ve decided that in 2010 that I’ll not be there. I hope that clears things up for those folks out there who have been asking..... www.scottish-folk-music.com is an excellent new website facility that aims to provide a service to events...artistes and audiences. Please go and have a look. Working as I do so much in Scotland it provides another valuable outlet for information about what is happening in the folk world up there. And while I’m talking things North o’ tha Border here have a look at www.footstompin.com another fine internet facility for the use of everyone. Inevitably there are gigs going into the diary all the time.
